The Strand at Bay Colony is the only beach front single family home subdivision in Bay Colony and the only single family beach front community in Naples, Florida offering a 24 hour manned gated entrance.  There are only 12 homes located on this beautiful drive and having an address at this location is certainly a sign of true taste and distinction.  The beach located behind these homes is not technically deemed private as there aren't any "private" beaches in Collier County but they are difficult to get to as the closest public entrance is located at the corner of Vanderbilt Beach Rd. and Gulf Shore Drive (known as Vanderbilt Beach) which is approximately 3/4 of a mile away before reaching the first Strand at Bay Colony home.  Since no motor vehicles are allowed on any beaches in Collier County this makes lugging beach chairs and other beach going possessions extremely cumbersome.
